Tomorrow Dinamo Tbilisi will play the first test match in Turkey against SK Sturm Graz. This team like Steaua Bucuresti and Partizan Belgrade stay at the same hotel as Dinamo Tbilisi.
The club was founded in 1909. Its colors are black and white. The team plays home matches at UPC-Arena that envisages 15 400 spectators. Our rival became the champion of Austria thrice in 1998, 1999 and in 2011. Sturm won Austrian Cup for four times in 1996, 1997, 1999 and in 2010. As for Super Cup our rival won it in 1996, 1998 and in 1999.
SK Sturm is on the fifth place in Austrian championship and has 2 points less than the team on the second place. The championship will be renewed on February 14 in Austria and our rival will play away match against SV Groedig. It’s already several days the team is in Antalya and they have already held three test matches. On January 24 they played against St Gelen Switzerland with two lineups (1:2 and 3:3). The match against Vaduz Lichtenstein finished with draw 3:3.
We remember the match between these teams in 2010 on Europa League third qualifying stage when Sturm defeated Dinamo in two matches (2:0 in Austria and 1:1 in Georgia). Our team competed with Sturm in summer 2011 as well and the match in Austria finished with draw-0:0.
