Our rival
FC Zestafoni was established on June 18, 2004 and started to participate in XIV national championship from the same year. After that FC Zestafoni hasn’t left Umaghlesi Liga. Zestafoni plays home matches at Davit Abashidze stadium which is for 4 600 spectators. The main symbols of the club are mainly in blue and white. Zestafoni took the first trophy in 2007/2008 season when FC Zestafoni defeated FC Ameri Tbilisi with the score 2:1 in the final at Boris Paichadze national stadium and became the winners of Davit Kipiani Cup. In 2010/2011 season FC Zestafoni became Georgian champion and won the Super Cup in the same season. FC Zestafoni became champion of Georgia for the second and last time in 2011/2012. In 2013/2014 season Zestafoni became vice-champion of Georgia.

Giorgi Mikadze is the head coach of Zestafoni since January. Our rival has played two official matches under his leadership. Nowadays Zestafoni is on 11th place with 20 points.
Before Dinamo…
After the first stage there were many changes in FC Zestafoni. Many footballers came to the club and the head coach was changed. Zestafoni was on camp in Georgia and played several sparring matches. Our rival defeated Gagra-2:0, STU Norchi Dinamo-4:3, Metalurgi-2:0. Zestafoni played two matches in the championship. It lost with Guria-0:1 and played draw with Chikhura-2:2.

Dinamo Tbilisi and FC Zestafoni have played 34 matches during the history. Dinamo has won for 19 times, Zestafoni succeeded for 9 times and 6 matches ended in draw. The goal difference is 51/33 in favor of our team.
