Our Rival
FC Merani Martvili was founded on the basis of FC Salkhino established in 1955. FC Merani Martvili plays in Pirveli Liga since 1997. In 2007/2008 the team had chance to move to Umaghlesi Liga but finished the championship on the third place and stayed in Pirveli Liga. The same happened in 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 years. In 2009/2010 FC Merani played on ½ final match of Davit Kipiani Cup in which he was defeated by Wit Georgia with the score 1:2 after two legs (1:0 / 0:2). In 2010/2011 season our rival took the second place in Pirveli Liga and got right to move to Umaghlesi Liga. 2011/2012 season was successful for FC Merani as it finished the championship on the fifth place in Umaghlesi Liga.
Coach and Merani
From summer 2014 Ukrainian football specialist Vladimer Lobas leads FC Merani. Under his leadership our rival won 9 matches from 30, lost 12 and finished 9 matches with draw. It took the 11th place with 36 points. In current championship our rival lost all the three matches.
Before Dinamo…
FC Merani started XXVII national championship with loss in Kutaisi 0:4. After that our rival lost with FC Chiatura in the first leg of Georgian Cup 1/16 final. The it lost with FC Tskhinvali 2:3, played draw with FC Chiatura 1:1 and left Georgian Cup tournament. In the third round FC Merani lost with FC Chikhura Sachkhere in the away match 0:3.
