Our rival
Tskhinvali football club which was established in 1936 changed the name for several times during its history. It changed the name for several times. FC Tskhinvali called as FC Spartak participated in Soviet championship and Soviet Cup. The club had its best season in 1987 when FC Spartak won Soviet Cup-the match against FC Mertskhali Ozurgeti finished with the score 1:0. At first Tskhinvali football club participated under the name of Liakhvi in Georgian national championship (in 1990–2003 years). In 2003-2007 it changed the name and became FC Tskhinvali. From 2007 the club was renamed in FC Spartak again. 2009-2010 seasons were the best for FC Spartak Tskhinvali in Georgian championship. The club took the fifth place in the table and played in ½ final match of Davit Kipiani Cup.
Because of situation in Samachablo the club changed the place for home matches and played in Gori instead of Tskhinvali, although in the new season the team plays home matches of Umaghlesi Liga in Tbilisi at Mikheil Meskhi reserve stadium.

Tskhinvali started national championship second stage with four draw against FC Saburtalo 2:2, FC Merani 1:1, FC Zugdidi 1:1, FC Dila Gori 0:0. Then was loss with Dinamo Batumi 0:2. Two draws 0:0 with FC Torpedo and FC Kolkheti Poti and loss with FC Chikhura Sachkhere 1:2.
