After finishing UEFA Champions League first qualifying round match at Dinamo Arena, that finished with Tirana’s victory 2:0, coaches of both teams spoke about the match at the press-conference.
Emannuel Egbo - “I have the same opinion on the rival team as I had before the match. We knew Dinamo has attacking wingers and because of this we had our tactic how to play. We played and managed to neutralize attacks of our rival. Despite the result of the match I don’t have negative attitude towards Dinamo. My football and life philosophy is closely connected with religion and I believed that the we would repeat the victory we gained in Tbilisi 17 years ago. After the drawing results were revealed, management of the club and I were happy as Dinamo was weaker compared with other stronger clubs. I am happy with this victory. It will make our team stronger. As for the match against Crvena Zvezda, we will play at home that is priority for us. I know there is tension between us and Serbia, but we will try to separate football from politics.
Kakha Chkhetiani - “I can’t say that our footballers didn’t play. They wanted to win most of all, but the fortune wasn’t on our side. Our rival gave chance to attack but we couldn’t use it. I know journalists and supporters are dissatisfied with the line-up, but perhaps you would be unhappy in case of different lineup. There were footballers who had micro-traumas, for example Kavtaradze and couldn’t risk to let him on the pitch. Many of them weren’t in good fit. I don’t blame footballers. I consider that every footballer who played deserved to be there and if I made mistakes in the lineup it’s only my responsibility.
I will try to change the game on Europa League. We will change the quality and style of the game. I apologize for today’s game. I don’t know if we manage to add new footballers but we will fully use the resources we have. As for my position, I don’t decide it. If the management thinks the team doesn’t develop and discuss the issue of my dismissal, this will be their decision. “
