On July 11, the first leg match of UEFA Conference League first qualifying stage was held in Podgorica. FK Mornar hosted Dinamo at DG Arena.
Tbilisi started the match actively and in the first 15 minutes they missed two real opportunities to score against the opponent. On the 10th minute, first Oscar Santis failed to use the favorable moment and score a one-on-one shot, and then Nika Tsetskhladze could have made an accurate shot, but the ball missed the goal. The score was opened on the 20th minute, Marko Jurishic made a strong free kick, the ball hit the player standing in the wall, the direction changed and it ended up in Dinamo's goal. The hosts soon took advantage of the confusion of Dinamo and in particular of the defense line, and within three minutes Milan Vušurović put Mornar ahead with two goals. Dinamo gradually improved the game, however, the second part of the first half ended with the territorial priority of the home team. In the second half, Ferdinand Feldhofer applied for changes. Davit Skhirtladze and Saba Samushia entered the field. They added more energy to Dinamo's attacking potential, Skhirtladze in his usual style soon created several dangerous moments, while Samushia's dribblings were increasingly difficult for the defenders to handle. Saba had a real scoring episode, but instead of a shot, Dinamo attacker chose to pass and the moment was relieved. Before that, the referee could have given a penalty kick, the hosts fouled Davit Skhirtladze in the penalty area, but the referee showed to continue. Mukhran Bagrationi and Jaduli Iobashvili were also replaced. It can be said that the second half was entirely dictated by Dinamo, and our team scored a goal in minutes compensated by the referee. Nika Ugrekhelidze, running into the penalty area, reacted to the corner delivered by quite active Oscar Santis with an accurate header and reduced the score to a minimum. Dinamo had one minute left and could have restored the status quo, but in the last seconds, Saba Khvadagiani didn't get a shot, the ball went over the top of the opponent's goal and the match was over.
A record fact was recorded in the match. Saba Kharebashvili became the youngest player in the history of UEFA club tournaments. Saba was 15 years, 10 months and 8 days old at the time of the match.
Ferdinand Feldhofer's team will hold the return match on July 18 at the Mikheil Meskhi stadium in Tbilisi. The match will start at 21.00.
