Our rival
FC Samtredia was established in 1936. For years FC Locomotive Samtredia successfully played in Soviet championship second league. Afterwards the club played under different names (Samtredia, Sanavardo, Iberia) in Georgian championship. The team plays home matches at Erosi Manjgaladze stadium with the capacity of 3000 spectators. The main colors of the club are in white and blue. Samtredia achieved the biggest victory in 1994-1996 years. In 1995 the team took the second place in national championship. During its history different famous footballers have played in Samtredia. They are: Tariel Dvalishvili, Deviz Darjania, Piruz Kanteladze, Givi Babunidze, Temur Dzagnidze, Sergei Shvetsov, Zaza Janashia, Kakhi Gogichaishvili, Gia and Mikheil Jishkariani, Giorgi Daraselia, Zurab Ionanidze, Grigol Chanturia and Kakhi Kaladze.
Coach and Samtredia
Gela Sanaia is the head coach of FC Samtredia since January 2014. Under his leadership the team won 11 matches from 13 in Pirveli Liga, lost 1 and 1 match finished with draw. Samtredia took the first place in Pirveli Liga with 65 points and moved to Umaghlesi Liga.
Before Dinamo…
FC Samtredia starts the new season with the new squad. Several experienced players joined the club. Among them are: Giorgi Begashvili, Giorgi Datunaishvili, Giorgi Gabedava, Grigol Dolidze, Gulverd Tomashvili, Revaz Getsadze… In the played friendly matches Samtredia was defeated with minimal score 0:1 against Kolkheti. Sanaia’s team lost with the same score against Torpedo. Our rival defeated Samgurali with the score 2:0.

Dinamo and Samtredia have played 29 matches against each other in national championship. Our rival played the first three championships with the name Sanavardo. In 1998-2001 the club was called-Iberia. Our team has defeated FC Samtredia for 22 times, lost 4 and 3 match finished with draw. The goal difference is 73/17 in favor of our team.
Dinamo defeated Samtredia with 5 and more goal difference for 5 times. In 1991 Dinamo defeated the rival with the score 6:0. Kavelashvili performed hattrick and Ketsbaia, Inalishvili and Revishvili also scored. In 1996 our team won with the same score. Iashvili (2), Kerdzevadze, Demetradze, Inalishvili and Khomeriki scored. In two years Dinamo won with the score 7:2. Jelich, Arziani and Khumarashvili also scored. The majority of matches have finished with the score 1:0 (for 6 times). Dinamo won for 4 times.The last match between these teams was held on May 8, 2011 in Samtredia at Erosi Manjgaladze stadium. In XXII national championship 33 round Dinamo defeated Samtredia with Tomashvili’s and Tatanashvili’s goals-2:1.

The last match Jeneri Khorava judged with the participation of Dinamo took place on April 10, 2013. In this match our team competed with FC Guria on Georgian Cup and defeated the rival with the score 3:2. Khorvana showed four yellow cards to the players in this match.
