Dinamo's regional team has finished its participation in Ateitis Cup. Dinamo took the 4th place in the traditional tournament in Vilnius. Before that our team defeated Latvian Liepaja 2-0 in the remaining group match with a double by Samvel Baghdasarian, and in the semi-finals they lost 1-2 to Wolverhampton Wanderers (Lazare Brachuli scored the goal).
In the match for the third place, our team faced the local Benfica-Ateitis. Despite a big advantage, Dinamo failed to score a goal, but their opponent took advantage of their chance and won 1-0. The winner of the tournament was Riga Football Academy, which defeated Wolverhampton 1-0 in the final.
The awarding ceremony was also held. The prize for the best striker of the tournament was awarded to Dinamo's Giorgi Kapanadze (Borjomi).
We would like to remind you that on the first day, Dinamo defeated Ukrainian Niva 2-1 with Guram Diasamidze’s and Andria Abramian’s goals. Our team defeated Latvian Marupes 3-2, with Erekle Karseladze’s, Guram Diasamidze’s and Andria Abramian’s goals. In the third match, Dinamo defeated Estonian Maardu with three unanswered goals. Dimitri Vekua scored twice with a decisive shot, and Giorgi Kapanadze scored once.
