Dinamo won Daraselia Cup

Today, the final day of the Daraselia Cup took place and it ended with the triumph of Dinamo, but before that...

The decisive day of the draw opened with a match for the 5th place. Qarabag FK and Basaksehir faced each other. The match turned out to be multi-goal and ended with the victory of the Azerbaijanis 4-2. Amid Gasimov, Hikmat Jabrailzadeh, Emil Binyatzadeh and Elton Babazadeh stood out from the Qarabag players. Abdulkadir Ogiuz scored a goal from the Istanbul team. The second goal of Basaksehir was scored by the opponent in his own goal. Thus, Qarabag took the 5th place in the tournament.

The next meeting should determine the winner of the bronze medals. Genoa and Monza crossed in the Italian race. The Genoese faced the match better prepared and beat their opponent with three unanswered goals. Nikolas Guchik scored a double, and one goal was scored by Daniel Chidera. In the end, Genoa won the bronze medals.

The final started at the Academy at 18.00 and a considerable number of fans came to see it, filling the area around the field in addition to the stands. Before the start of the final, football players and fans observed a moment of silence in memory of those who died tragically for the independence of Georgia on April 9. The Spaniards started the match more actively and it can be said that they beat the hosts in the first half. Ruben Pedro Romero opened the score on the 10th minute of the match. Dinamo team improved the quality of the game after the break and got the upper hand. Saba Samushia restored the status quo on the 51st minute, and Aleksandre Peikrishvili scored the winning goal on the 62nd minute with an accurate shot approaching the penalty area. Thus, Dinamo players finished Daraselia Cup 2023 with victory and left the trophy in Tbilisi for the second time.
