Today the opening ceremony of Vitali Daraselia International Tournament was held. President of the club Roman Pipia, great captain of our club Aleksandre Chivadze, vice-president of GFF Nikoloz Jgharkava and veteran sports journalist Jamlet Khukhashvili addressed audience with speeches. Family of Vitali Daraselia also attended the event and symbolically his grandchild opened the tournament.
Today the first international tournament named after Vitali Daraselia will start. 35 years ago this legendary footballer brought so much gladness to Georgian people, that whole country went out in the streets. I believe Georgian football will score such goals in the future. So we must reveal and develop talented footballers that are very many in our country. Exactly this was the main goal of establishing Dinamo academy and this tournament serves in this purpose. I wish matches held in terms of this tournament, in which young footballers of world’s leading clubs participate, will reveal young talents, and develop them into stars, - said Dinamo’s president.
The tournament started with the match between Dinamo and Sheriff. Our team gained priority from the beginning and attacked the rival. On 19th minute, Giorgi Chakvetadze scored the first goal of tournament from long distance. On 43rd minute, Giorgi Kutsia scored the third goal (there are 30-minute halves in the tournamnet). On 47th minute Sheriff scored. Grigori Coscodan kicked exactly. After that Zuka Davitashvili scored the third goal 3:1.
Next two matches were held in parallel at Dinamo academy and training ground. FC Locomotive and Trabzonspor competed at Dinamo academy. On 21st minute Tornike Dzbniauri and on 42nd minute Levan Grdzelidze scored and Tbilisi team won the match with the score 2:0. Besiktas JK and AZ Alkmaar competed at Dinamo training ground. The match finished without goals, although both teams had real moments to score. Turkish footballers had territorial priority and Dutch answered with counter attacks.
The last match was between Lechia and Dinamo 2. This match also finished with draw and both teams scored. On 15th minute Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored. On 50th minute, Krystian Espersen equalized the score. Finally, the match finished with the score 1:1.
Tomorrow at 15:30 Lechia will compete with Locomotive. At 17:30 AZ Alkmaar will compete with Sheriff. Trabzonspor will play against Dinamo 2 at training ground. The last match will take place at 19:30 between Dinamo and Besiktas JK.
