Shota Arveladze and Lee Roy Echteld about Vitali Daraselia International Tournament
Former forward of AZ Alkmaar Shota Arveladze and current manager of the club Lee Roy Echteld spoke about Vitali Daraselia 1st International Tournament.
“Such tournaments are best “thermometer” that shows the situation of the team. When the coach makes a team but doesn’t participate in international tournaments he can’t estimate his work. This is generation that will play Junior Champions League in the nearest future and needs experience on international arena where it will compete with experienced teams and footballers. For example Dutch travel to Belgium, Germany, France, Great Britain and Scandinavian countries by bus. Dutch children gain experience in such matches. Their football is on very high level. When are inexperienced and compete with them you can’t do anything and the whole work of coach is failed,”-said Shota Arveladze.
“I am glad we were invited on such tournament. The conditions and organization is perfect here. It’s very important that representatives of Dinamo support and help us in everything and are with us. I think participating in such tournament will positively influence on our future development. Footballers will get acquainted to the football of other countries and will know how to play in the future,”-said head coach of AZ Alkmaar Lee Roy Echteld.
Former footballers gave this interview to newspaper “Lelo.”
