Our Rival
FC Merani Martvili was founded on the basis of FC Salkhino established in 1955. FC Merani Martvili plays in Pirveli Liga since 1997. In 2007/2008 the team had chance to move to Umaghlesi Liga but finished the championship on the third place and stayed in Pirveli Liga. The same happened in 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 years. In 2009/2010 FC Merani played on ½ final match of Davit Kipiani Cup in which he was defeated by Wit Georgia with the score 1:2 after two legs (1:0 / 0:2). In 2010/2011 season our rival took the second place in Pirveli Liga and got right to move to Umaghlesi Liga. 2011/2012 season was successful for FC Merani as it finished the championship on the fifth place in Umaghlesi Liga.

From summer Ukrainian football specialist Vladimer Lobas leads FC Merani. Under his leadership our rival won 2 matches from 7, lost 4 and finished one match with draw. It is on the 14th place with 7 points. After defeating FC Mertskhali Ozurgeti on Georgian Cup Merani will play in 1/8 final.

FC Merani Martvili started the championship with two losses. It was defeated by Wit Georgia-0:2 and Spartak-0:1. After defeating FC Mertskhali Ozurgeti with the score 4:1 on Georgian Cup Merani will play in 1/8 final. After that was victory with Torpedo-3:1, draw with Zugdidi-0:0, loss with Dinamo Batumi-1:3 and Guria-0:1, victory with Chikhura-2:0 and with FC Mertskhali -3:2 in the second leg of Georgian Cup.
