Today is the 78th birthday of Sergo Kotrikadze, legendary goalkeeper of Dinamo Tbilisi and Georgian football. Kotrikadze played 315 matches during 13 seasons (1957-1970) in Dinamo Tbilisi. He is the winner of Soviet championship in 1964 and became prizeman of this tournament in 1959, 1962 and 1967 years. He became the best goalkeeper in 1962. In the same year he took part in World Cup in Chile. He appeared among the best 33 footballers for 3 times. He is recognized as the best goalkeeper of Georgian footballer of the XX century.
Sergo Kotrikadze died on May 3, 2011.
