Our rival
The history of FC Zugdidi starts in 20th century and after that several teams played with the name of this city. From 1990 the city of Zugdidi at first was represented in independent national championship by FC Odishi and after that by FC Dinamo. After the Civil War in Georgia Zugdidi’s team left national championship. In 2007/2008 season FC Mglebi Zugdidi returned in Umaghlesi Liga. In 2008 after the merger of FC Mglebi and FC Baia from Pirveli Liga Zugdidi was represented by the new team FC Baia. In 2012 our rival changed the name again and nowadays it plays under the name of FC Zugdidi.
Coach and Zugdidi
In the new season two coaches started to train FC Zugdidi. Otar Tutberidze and Koba Tsitaishvili led the team. After the changes in the club Giorgi Daraselia was appointed as the head coach of the team. FC Zugdidi has played 2 matches under his leadership from which the team played draw against FC Martvili and lost the away match against FC Sioni Bolnisi.
