Our rival-EB/Streymur

Tomorrow on July 16 our team will play the first match of UEFA Champions League second qualification round at Dinamo Arena with the champion of Faroe Islands-EB/Streymur. The match will start at 8p.m and the Channel 1 of Public Broadcaster will broadcast it. Our web-site will offer text and video LIVE of the mtch.

Our rival champion of Faroe Islands EB/Streymur was officialy founded in 1993 (after joining Eiðis Bóltfelag founded in 1913 and Streymur founded in 1976). The merge of two clubs reflected in the official logo of EB/Streymur as well which are depicted in two chained rings. Traditional colors of the team are blue, black and white. EB/Streymur plays internal matches at  the stadium Við Margáir which is for 1000 spectators. Although our rival will hold match at Tórsvøllur of Torshavn.

 

 

Trophies

 

EB/Streymur became the champion of Faroe Islands twice in 2008 and 2012. The club won Faroe Islands Cup in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011. EB/Streymur became the owner of Faroe Islands Super Cup thrice in 2011, 2012, 2013 years.

For the first time our team played with the representative of Faroe Islands on UEFA Champions League qualification stage in 2008. Exactly 5 years ago on July 16 Dinamo Tbilisi hosted NSI Runavik and defeated it with the score 3:0. Guram Kashia, Oleg Gvelesiani and Davit Odikadze scored in this match. Dinamo Tbilisi lost the second match with Faroe Islands with the minimal score 0:1.
