Our rival - FC Lviv

Dinamo Tbilisi will play the first friendly match on the camp in Turkey today. Our rival is the representative of the Premier League of Ukraine - FC Lviv. The match will start in Belek at 18.00 Tbilisi time.

FC Lviv was founded in 2006 and today plays its home matches at Arena Lviv with the capacity of 35,000 spectators. Before that, until 2006, there was a team Gazovik-Skala, which mainly played in the first league of the Ukrainian championship. Lviv is considered to be the legal heir of this club. Blue, red and gold are considered to be the club colors of our future rival.

Our rival played the first match in Premier League in 2008/09. In 2012, the team went bankrupt due to financial problems and continued to exist only as a children’s school. After the agreement reached with the football club Vere in 2018, Lviv took their place in the Premier League.

In the current championship, Lviv is on the 12th place in the table with 17 points gained in 18 rounds. Last year, the team finished the national championship on the 8th place.

The Ukrainians have been attending the Turkish camp since January 16. Our rival played a draw 0-0 with TSV Hartberg on January 22, and a couple of days ago they lost 0-1 to FK Rabotnički with a minimal score.

Belarusian football specialist Oleg Dulub is the head coach of FC Lviv since September last year. Ukrainian midfielder, former Dinamo player Bogdan Mishenko recently joined FC Lviv. Pernambuco, familiar to Dinamo fans,  is also in FC Lviv. Currently he is playing for the FC Sheriff on lease.
