Today one of the best defenders of all time of Dinamo Tbilisi Murtaz Khurtsilava has turned 79 years old. He played in Dinamo for 15 years (in 1961-1975 years). In 371 years he scored 21 goals. He took the third place in Soviet championship for 5 times in 1962, 1967, 1969, 1971 and 1972 years. Murtaz Khurtsilava was named among the best 33 players for 10 times. He is the honorable master of sports and was decorated with Vakhtang Gorgasali order. Khurtsilava was the captain of our team and Soviet national team as well. He played 70 matches in Soviet team and scored 7 goals. In 1966 and 1970 years he participated in world championship and played in semi-final. In 1972 year he played in European championship final match and became the owner of bronze medal in Munich Olympic Games in the same year. In 1998-99 years he was the head coach of Dinamo Tbilisi.
