Neftchi 2-1 Dinamo

Dinamo played UEFA Champions League first qualifying round second leg match at the Baxel Arena in Baku. The guests won the match held in Tbilisi a week ago 2-1 and Dinamo needed only a victory in the return match.

Both teams started the match carefully and except for a few semi-dangerous moments, both teams observed each other, although it should be noted that the territorial advantage was methodically gained by Tbilisi. In the middle of the half, Dinamo had an advantage and Kakha Tskhdadze's team could be promoted twice. In both cases, Giorgi Gabedava threatened the opponent's goal, but in the first episode the goalkeeper repelled a shot from short distance, and then the shot itself turned out to be slightly inaccurate. Giorgi Kutsia's shot, which was blocked by the goalkeeper at the last moment, is also worth mentioning. After the half ended, Dinamo attacked more and opened the score in the 51st minute. First, Levan Kharabadze's shot hit the post, then goalkeeper repelled Giorgi Kutsia’s kick and finally Milan Radin scored. Dinamo finally gained the priority when penalty was appointed against our team. The goalkeeper played inaccurately, then tried to save the situation and finally Emin Makhmudov scored. Namik Alaskerov took advantage of the slight confusion of Dinamo in ten minutes and scored the second goal. Between these goals, Nefchi's door once again survived. At the last second, the defender took the shot of Simon Gbegnon from the unprotected door. Dinamo tried to improve the situation and created some dangerous moments, Benio's goal was not considered due to offside and in the end the hosts won 2-1. Dinamo will move the conference to the league, where our team will compete with Maccabi Haifa.
