Our rival
The initial name of football club founded in Lanchkhuti in 1926 was Kim. The club was abolished during World War II and in 1952 FC Kolmeurne appeared instead of FC Kim. From 1960 the club exists with the current name. FC Guria reached big success in 1961. They became the first team in the republic and repeated this success in 1966 and 1971 years. The club won Georgian cup in 1965, 1966 and 1971. FC Guria succeeded on Shota Shavgulidze’s Cup in 1977. FC Guria appeared in Soviet championship division B in 1967 for the first time and became a serious obstacle for other teams. After taking the first place in division B in 1986 FC Guria moved to upper division. After 1990 FC Guria became the first team in independent Georgian football to win Georgian Cup. FC Guria Lanchkhuti successfully played in Umaghlesi Liga till 1999 but in this year it fell to Pirveli Liga. After taking the first place in Pirveli Liga group A the club moved to Umaghlesi Liga again after a long pause.
Coach and Guria
Since April Gigla Imnadze became the head coach of FC Guria instead of Teimuraz Loria. He has worked in FC Guria earlier as well. Our rival is on the 8th place with 38 points gained in 28 matches.

After that it lost with FC Shukura 0:2, defeated FC Rustavi Metalurg 1:0 and FC Kolkheti Poti with the same score; played draw with FC Dila Gori-0:0, lost with FC Merani 0:1, defeated FC Wit Georgia 4:1, lost with FC Tskhinvali 0:3, FC Torpedo 1:3 and FC Dinamo Batumi 1:2, defeated FC Zugdidi 5:0 and FC Samtredia 3:1.
