On February 9 Dinamo Tbilisi will play the last-sixth test-match in Turkey. Our rival will be FC Illichivets Mariupol playing in Ukrainian premier league. The match will start at 13:30 Tbilisi time.
Illichivets was established in 1960 and has changed name for several times. Till 1966 the team was called Azovstal, till 1971 Azovets, after that the team played under the name of Metalurh for three seasons. Till 1976 year it was called Locomotive. After that team was called Novator and remained this name till 1992. The next four years it was renamed to Azovets and the Metalurh till 2002. Since 2002 the team is called Illichivets Mariupol. The team plays home matches at Illichivets stadium that is for 13 000 spectators. The main colors of the team are blue and red. For the first ten years from its establishment Mariupol played in Soviet first league. From 1971 till 1991 our rival played in Ukrainian championship. In 1992-1995 it moved to Ukrainian second league. After uniting with Dinamo Lugansk, Mariupol played in Ukrainian first league till 1997 year. The next ten years it played in Ukrainian high league. In 2007 Mariupol team moved to the first league although returned to high league in the next season and stay there till today.
Illichivets visited Turkey for the second time this winter. During the first camp our rival played several matches. It defeated Dordui Bishkek-2:1, defeated Nasaf-1:0, lost with Polish team Rukh-0:1 and played draw with Czech team Vosochina-2:2.
Dinamo and Illichivets have played two matches. In 2007 our rival defeated Dinamo with the score 2:0 on the camp. Two years ago these teams played draw-2:2.
