Today veteran forward of our team and master of sports Giorgi Gavasheli would turn 68 years old. He was born in Gagra in 1947. He played in Dinamo in 1967-1976 and scored 48 goals in 183 matches. He is the owner of Soviet Crystal Cup in 1976 and bombardier of 1968 championship with 22 scored goals. In 1968 he scored 5 goals against Kubishev Krilya Sovetov and repeated Ilia Datunashvili’s record.
Giorgi Gavasheli died on December 25, 1997.
