FC Sapovnela Terjola was established in 1985. The team played in Umaghlesi Liga in 1993-1994 and 1994-1995 seasons. After 20 years pause Imereti club returned in Umaghlesi Liga. Before that it played even in Regional league. The last season appeared to be successful for Sapovnela. It took the first place in Pirveli Liga second group. Our rival scored 64 goals and let 28 in 36 matches and moved to Umaghlesi liga with 77 points. Sapovnela plays home matches at Terjola central stadium, although it will play in Kutaisi at Ramaz Shengelia stadium in this season.
