Our rival
FC Samtredia was established in 1936. For years FC Locomotive Samtredia successfully played in Soviet championship second league. Afterwards the club played under different names (Samtredia, Sanavardo, Iberia) in Georgian championship. The team plays home matches at Erosi Manjgaladze stadium with the capacity of 3000 spectators. The main colors of the club are in white and blue. Samtredia achieved the biggest victory in 1994-1996 years. In 1995 the team took the second place in national championship. During its history different famous footballers have played in Samtredia. They are: Tariel Dvalishvili, Deviz Darjania, Piruz Kanteladze, Givi Babunidze, Temur Dzagnidze, Sergei Shvetsov, Zaza Janashia, Kakhi Gogichaishvili, Gia and Mikheil Jishkariani, Giorgi Daraselia, Zurab Ionanidze, Grigol Chanturia and Kakhi Kaladze.
Coach and Samtredia
Giorgi Tsetsadze is the head coach of FC Samtredia since June 2015. Under his leadership the team finished played 11 matches. From them our rival won 6 matches, lost 4 and 1 finished with draw. Today FC Samtredia is on the fifth place in national championship with 19 points. It will compete with FC Sioni Bolnisi in Georgian Cup quarter final.

FC Samtredia started 2015/2016 season with five victories in turn. Victory with FC Shukura Kobuleti 2:0 was followed by the victory in Georgian Cup 1/16 final against FC Machakhela Khlvachauri with the same score. After that FC Samtredia defeated FC Sapovnela 3:2 and defeated FC Machakhela 3:0 in Georgian Cup second leg match. After that was victory with FC locomotive Tbilisi 3:2 and loss with FC Saburtalo with the same score. Our rival defeated FC Liakhvi 3:0 in Georgian Cup 1/8 final, defeated FC Merani Martvili 4:0. It played draw with Zugdidi 3:3 and won with FC Dila Gori with the score 5:0. It lost with FC Dinamo Batumi 0:2, defeated FC Torpedo Kutaisi 3:1, FC Liakhvi 4:1 in second leg match, lost with FC Tskhinvali 0;1 and FC Chikhura with the same score.

Dinamo and Samtredia have played 31 matches against each other. Our rival played the first three championships with the name Sanavardo. In 1998-2001 the club was called-Iberia. Our team has defeated FC Samtredia for 23 times, lost 4 and 3 match finished with draw. The goal difference is 76/17 in favor of our team.
Dinamo defeated Samtredia with 5 and more goal difference for 5 times. In 1991 Dinamo defeated the rival with the score 6:0. Kavelashvili performed hattrick and Ketsbaia, Inalishvili and Revishvili also scored. In 1996 our team won with the same score. Iashvili (2), Kerdzevadze, Demetradze, Inalishvili and Khomeriki scored. In two years Dinamo won with the score 7:2. The last match in between these teams in national championship was held on February 22 in Samtredia at Erosi Manjgaladze stadium. In XXVI national championship XVI round Dinamo defeated Samtredia with Manuel Onwu’s goal 1:0. For the last time these teams competed on Georgian Cup final on May 26.
