Our rival-Hajduk Split
Hajduk Split established on February 13, 1911 in the city of Split is one of the most titled clubs of Croatia. Hajduk has won championship, Cup and Super Cup for 6 times. The team successfully played in the former Yugoslavian championship as well. 1970s was the gold age of the club. Hajduk became the champion of Yugoslavia and won Cup final for 9 times. In 1972/73 season the team played in the semi-final of Cup Winners’ Cup. The same result was in 1938/84 on UEFA Cup. Dinamo Zagreb is the principle rival of Hajduk in Croatian championship.
Hajduk plays home matches at Poljud stadium built in 1979 which is for 35 000 spectators. The record number of spectators on the home match was recorded in 1980 when the team hosted German Hamburg. 52 spectators attended this match.
The main symbols of the club are in white, blue and red colors. The emblem of the club is chess board in white and red colors. Many popular players such as Stipe Pletikosa, Slaven Bilic, Dario Srna, Ante Zanetic, Ivan Gudel, Alen Bokshic and others played in Hajduk in different times.
