Dinamo Tbilisi’s camp in Turkey has finished. Our team had been preparing in Belek for the second stage of national championship since January 30. Our team played five sparring matches and won four of them: 1:0 with RNK Split, 2:0 - FC Bate, 2:1 - FK Vojvodina, 5:2- SK Slovan and draw 3:3 with FC Karpaty. We offer interview with Dinamo’s head coach Juraj Jarabek who sums up the camp and speaks about his future plans.
The first impression on the team
It’s only two weeks we are together on the camp. The first impression on the team is that Dinamo is staffed with good and technical footballers. Discipline is very high. I’ve already mentioned that Dinamo has great potential. On the camp I got acquainted with the boys personally. I watched how they trained, how their mood is. I want to thank my staff and manager of the team for good communication with footballers and management.
Positive and negative sides
Dinamo is high technical team. I didn’t have problem with tactical game. Footballers can play according 4-4-2 as well as 4-4-1-1 scheme. I want quicker game and pressing. Young and experienced footballers coincide with each other. Competition is high on every position. Footballers lost concentration in some episodes of sparring matches. I demand for full mobilizing during the whole match and we will pay great attention to this issue.
Preparation period and camp
We had very good conditions on the camp-fields, restoration, nutrition and sparring matches. Everything we needed was in high class. I want to mention that the whole staff of the team, doesn’t matter on what position they are, works on European level. I can also add that Dinamo Tbilisi is European class club with its training ground, stadium, academy, fields and the whole infrastructure.
Sparring matches
We played five interesting sparring matches against RNK Split, FC Bate, FK Vojvodina, SK Slovan and FC Karpaty…All of them are high class teams. Besides good results we showed very good game. We played combinational football and we continue working on interchange of defense and attack lines. I saw playing of every footballer. Competition is high and this ensures progress.
Strengthening the team
I said in the beginning that if we bring foreigner footballers they must be better than local ones are. We have good Georgian footballers and if we bring foreigners they must be very high class. Time will show on what position we should strengthen the team.
Dinamo’s goal
Dinamo’s goal is to become champion and win Georgian Cup. After that we must do our best to move at least to the play-off of UEFA Champions League. This is our main goal and I think Dinamo has its potential.
