FC Samtredia was established in 1936. For years FC Locomotive Samtredia successfully played in Soviet championship second league. Afterwards the club played under different names (Samtredia, Sanavardo, Iberia) in Georgian championship. The team plays home matches at Erosi Manjgaladze stadium with the capacity of 3000 spectators. The main colors of the club are in white and blue. Samtredia achieved the biggest victory in 1994-1996 years. In 1995 the team took the second place in national championship. During its history different famous footballers have played in Samtredia. Coach and Samtredia
Giorgi Tsetsadze is the head coach of FC Samtredia since June 2015. Under his leadership the team played 26 matches. From them our rival won 17 matches, lost 6 and 3 finished with draw. Today FC Samtredia is on the second place in national championship with 54 points. It lost with FC Sioni Bolnisi in Georgian Cup quarter final.
Before Dinamo …
After winter pause Samtredia renewed championship successfully. Our rival played draw 1:1 with FC Shukura Kobuleti. After that Samtredia defeated FC Sapovnela 3:0, FC Locomotive 1:0, FC Saburtalo 8:2, FC Merani Martvili 3:2, FC Zugdidi 2:0, FC Dila Gori 2:1, FC Dinamo Batumi 2:0. Then our rival lost with FC Torpedo Kutaisi 1:2 and defeated FC Tskhinvali with the same score. The last match it played was draw 1:1 with FC Chikhura.

Dinamo and Samtredia have played 32 matches against each other. Our rival played the first three championships with the name Sanavardo. In 1998-2001 the club was called-Iberia. Our team has defeated FC Samtredia for 25 times, lost 4 and 3 match finished with draw. The goal difference is 79/18 in favor of our team.
Dinamo defeated Samtredia with 5 and more goal difference for 5 times. In 1991 Dinamo defeated the rival with the score 6:0. Kavelashvili performed hattrick and Ketsbaia, Inalishvili and Revishvili also scored. In 1996 our team won with the same score. Iashvili (2), Kerdzevadze, Demetradze, Inalishvili and Khomeriki scored. In two years Dinamo won with the score 7:2. Jelich, Arziani and Khumarashvili (auto-goal) also scored. The majority of matches have finished with the score 1:0 (for 8 times). From them Dinamo won six matches and Samtredia won twice.
