FC Dinamo Tbilisi that is on camp in Turkey will play against one of the most titled Ukrainian team FC Dnipro. FC Dnipro is in Lara since January 15, in the same hotel as our team. It has already played three friendly matches. FC Dnipro played without goals against Shamkir FC, lost two matches with Dinamo Zagreb 1:3 and HNK Hajduk Split-0:2.
FC Dnipro was established in 1918 year. The club was called Brit, Petrovets, Slat and Metalurh in different times. Our rival plays home matches at Dnipro Arena with the capacity of 31 000 spectators. Main colors of the team are blue, light blue and white. One of the best periods in the history of Dnipro was in 80s. In 1983 our rival became champion of Soviet Union. In 1984-85 years the club won bronze medals. In 1987 and 1989 it became vice-champion and in 1988- champions for the second time. In 1989 Dnipro won Crystal Cup. In Ukrainian championship Dnipro won silver medals twice and bronze medals for 7 times. It played Ukrainian Cup final for 3 times. In 2015 it played Europa League final and lost with Sevilia 2:3. Ruslan Rotania who has played 365 matches in Dnipro will play against Dinamo. Oleg Protasov has scored the biggest number of goals-108.
