Our rival - FC Zorya
FC Dinamo Tbilisi will play the last match in Slovenia on July 12 against Ukrainian team FC Zorya. The match will be held in Lendava at Hotisa stadium at 20:00 Tbilisi time. FC Zorya was founded in 1923. The club changes the name for several times. In the beginning it was called FC Metalist, then Dzerzhynets, Trudovi Rezervy and Zorya Mals. FC Zorya played home matches at Slavutych Arena in Zaporizhia with the capacity of 12 000 spectators. Main colors of the team are black and white. The best season for our rival was in 1972 year when it won Soviet Championship. It won silver medals in 1974 and 1975 years in Crystal Cup final. The same result was recorded in the last season in Ukrainian Cup when it lost with FC Shakhtar 0:2. In the current season FC Zorya took the third place. In Europa League it competed with Manchester United, Feyenoord and Fenerbahçe S.K. in Group A. Our rival has already played 4 matches on the camp. On June 25 it defeated Nikopol, on July 1 lost with Istra, on July 7 played draw 1:1 with Vzhdovac and on July 10 lost with Ural-0:2. Since 2011 Ukrainian football specialist and veteran footballer Iuri Vernidub is the head coach of the team. After Soviet championship FC Dinamo Tbilisi and FC Zorya competed in winter 2011 and our team lost with the score 2:1. The match in summer 2011 the match on camp finished without goals. In 2013 FC Zorya defeated FC Dinamo Tbilisi with the score 4:0.
