Our rival
Football Club Gagra was founded in 2004. The colors of the club are blue and white. This season, the team will play home matches at Petro Arena, in Tbilisi. In the first league, Gagra was always at the top of the table, but it could not move to Erovnuli Liga. In 2007, it lost with FC Chikhura Sachkhere in the playoffs, and in 2008 with FC Spartak Tskhinvali. On May 31, 2008, the Professional Football League Board considered the issue of FC Magharoeli Chiatura, the winner of the First League, and because the Imereti Club failed to meet the licensing criteria and failed to provide financial guarantees, it was deprived of the right to participate in the 2008/2009 national championship of Erovnuli Liga and FC Gagra, that had a higher league license, was allowed instead. The 2010-2011 season was remarkable for Gagra in every way: The team became the first league champion and the owner of the country cup. The team has not had such a successful season since its inception. In 2011, the team won a trip to Erovnuli Liga without any problems, won the Georgian Cup and the youth team made its debut at the European tournaments, where it met Anorthosis of Cyprus. FC Gagra lost the away match with the score 0:3, but in Zestaponi it defeated the rival with the score 2:0 with Giorgi Gabedava’s and Giorgi Tkeshelashvili’s goals. FC Gagra returned to Erovnuli Liga after a ten-year hiatus. The team finished Erovnuli Liga 2 on second place last year. It defeated FC Shukura Kobuleti and moved to Erovnuli Liga.

The first victory Gagra recorded in its assets was in the first match between these teams. This match took place on September 14, 2008, in the first round of the twentieth championship and finished with the score 2:1 in favor of Gagra. One of the successful matches of Dinamo Tbilisi is the victory with a big score in the twelfth round of the same championship on November 21. Dinamo won that game with the score 3:0. Our team also won 4:1 on February 8, 2010, the twenty-eight round of the twenty-first championship. On June 20, 2022 Dinamo won the match with big score 5:0. Ousmane Camara, Giorgi Moistsrapishvili, Barnes Osei, Anzor Mekvabishvili and Davit Skhirtladze scored. On March 8, 2023 Dinamo won with the score 5:3. Imran Oulad Omar, Ousmane Camara (2), Gabriel Sigua and Zoran Marusic scored. On May 6 the match finished without goals. On August 13 our team won with the big score 6:1. Imran Oulad Omar performed hattrick, Davit Skhirtladze performed double. One auto-goal was recorded.
