FC Saburtalo was established in 1999. The team plays at Bendela stadium that is for 2000 spectators. The main colors of the club are red and white. In 2013/2014 season the team started to play in Pirveli Liga. In 2014/2015 it gained success in Pirveli Liga first group and moved to Umaghlesi Liga. In the last championship it took the third place in red group and competed with FC Dinamo in bronze play-off. It lost with the score 0:1 on aggregate. Young specialist Giorgi Tchiabrishvili is the head coach of FC Saburtalo since October 2014. Before that he led the team for two years. Under his leadership the team moved to Umaghlesi Liga. In 2011-2012 season Giorgi Tchiabrishvili trained FC Zestafoni. He became champion and Super Cup with this team. In the current season FC Saburtalo is on the fourth place with 56 points gained in 34 matches.

Our rival defeated FC Dinamo Batumi with the score 1:0, lost with our team 0:5, defeated FC Shukura 2:1 and lost with FC Torpedo with the same score. After that FC Saburtalo hasn’t lost. It played draw 0:0 with FC Kolkheti, defeated FC Locomotive 6:0, FC Dila Gori 2:0, draw 1:1 with FC Samtredia, 0:0 with FC Chikhura and defeated FC Dinamo Batumi with big score 5:0. Then our rival defeated FC Dinamo Tbilisi 4:1, FC Shukura 3:2, lost with FC Torpedo 0:2, defeated FC Kolkheti 6:3, played draw 1:1 with FC Locomotive, defeated FC Dila 3:1, FC Samtredia 2:0, lost with FC Chikhura 0:2 and defeated FC Dinamo Batumi 2:1.

FC Dinamo Tbilisi and FC Saburtalo have played 7 official matches in national championship. Our team defeated FC Saburtalo for 5 times, lost once and one match finished with draw. The goal difference is 17/4 in favor of our team. On August 29, 2015 Dinamo defeated the rival in 27th national championship third round match.
