Our rival
FC Rustavi was established in 20015 year. Main colors of the club is red, white and black. In 2016 season FC Rustavi successfully finished Pirveli Liga and played in Erovnuli Liga-2 in 2017 year. Our rival finished the championship on the first place and moved to Erovnuli Liga. From 36 matches FC Rustavi won 26 matches, lost 5 and finished 5 matches with draw. The goal difference is 72/25. Before finishing restoration of Rustavi stadium the team will play home matches in Tbilisi at Davit Petriashvili stadium. After becoming champion of Erovnuli Liga-2 there were big changes in the club. Many new footballers joined the team.
Coach and preparation period
Since January 2018 Russian football specialist Vladimer Gazaev is the head coach of the team. Under his leadership the team was on camp in Side, Turkey and played friendly matches. Our rival lost with FC Tsarsko Selo and FC Shiopok with the score 0:2, played draw 1:1 against Alkmaar, defeated FC Senegal 6:2, FC Kolos - 3:2, FC Natesrs-2:0 and FC Alay 3:0.
Head to head
FC Dinamo Tbilisi and FC Rustavi competed only once in September 2017 on Georgian Cup ¼ final. The match in Rustavi at Poladi stadium finished without goals. In penalties our team won with the score 3:0.
