On December 29, 1904 one of the most outstanding and legendary coaches of Dinamo Tbilisi - Andro Zhordania was born. The first captain of our team played in Dinamo in 1925–28 and 1930–31 years. He was head coach of our club in 1945–47, 1955, 1959–61 years. Under his leadership Dinamo Tbilisi took the third place in Soviet championship twice in 1947 and 1959. In 1946 and 1960 Dinamo played in the final match of Soviet Cup. Andro Zhordania died on April 25, 1974.
It’s worth mentioning that Dinamo Tbilisi training ground is named after this legendary footballer.
