UEFA European Youth Championship has kicked off in Slovakia, with the Georgian national team competing for the second time in a row.
Ramaz Svanadze's team met with the Polish team in the first match of the group stage in Žilina and defeated the opponent 2-1 in a difficult match. The score was opened on the 55th minute by our team's midfielder Nodar Lominadze. About 20 minutes later, Kaluzhinski restored the balance with a penalty, and in the referee's compensated time, Vasilios Gordeziani effectively finished off Giorgi Maisuradze's activity and Georgia won 2-1. It is also worth noting the good play of Luka Kharatishvili, who saved the Georgian team from serious danger in the last seconds.
In today's match, Dinamo's Saba Khvadagiani captained the team, while Nodar Lominadze strengthened the center of the field.
Ramaz Svanadze's team will play their next match against France on June 14.
