Today FC Dinamo Tbilisi will play the third friendly match on the camp in Turkey. Our team will compete with Polish football team Wisla Krakow. The match will take place in Belek at 17:00 Tbilisi time.
The White Star was founded in 1906 year and is one of the outstanding clubs in Poland. Our rival plays home matches at Henryk Reyman Stadium with the capacity of 33 000 spectators. Main colors of the team are red, white and blue.
Wisla is one of the most famous clubs in Poland. It has won national championship for 14 times (1927, 1928, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1977–78, 1998–99, 2000–01, 2002–03, 2003–04, 2004–05, 2007–08, 2008–09, 2010–11). Our rival won Polish Cup for four times in 1926, 1966–67, 2001–02, 2002–03 years. Wisla won Super Cup in 2001 year and in the same year it gained Polish league Cup as well.
FC Dinamo Tbilisi and Wisla Krakow competed with each other on UEFA Cup in 2004/05 season. The host team won the match in Krakow on September 16 with the score 4:3. Kankava, Aladashvili and Kvirkvelia scored. In the second leg match Dinamo won with the score 2:1 on September 30. Nemsadze and Kakaladze scored. After this victory Dinamo moved to UEFA group stage.
Polish team is on camp in Turkey since January 20. On January 18 our rival defeated Stal Mielec -1:0, on January 22 – draw with Sileks-1;1, on January 25 draw with FC Dinamo Batumi-1:1 and victory with Vozdovac on January 25-1:0. Local football specialist Maciej Stolarczyk is the head coach of the club. Famous Polish footballer Jakub Blaszczykowski is the captain of Wisla Krakow.
