Today Georgian Super Cup match was held at Mikheil Meskhi reserve stadium. FC Dinamo Tbilisi competed with FC Saburtalo.
23 February marks Georgian cadets’ day and connected to this date FC Dinamo Tbilisi symbolically paid honor to fallen cadets. Our players played in black T-shirts instead of blue and white, on which names of fallen cadets were written.
Both teams started the match actively. On 11th minute two dangerous moments were created near Dinamo’s door. In the first episode Roin Kvaskhvadze played well and then Luka Lochoshvili repelled. Saburtalo gained right to kick penalty in the next attack. Giorgi Kokhreidze kicked and scored the only goal of the match. Dinamo attacked more and in 4 minutes Simon Gbegnon failed to score with header. On 35th minute Dinamo missed real chance to score. At first Lazare Kupatadze repelled Gbegnon’s kick and then Giorgi Kukhianidze missed the chance. In the end of the first half Kakha Chkhetiani’s team could chance to change the score, although Irakli Bughridze missed the chance. In the second half Dinamo gained territorial priority but the whole half went without dangerous moments. Finally the match finished with Saburtalo’s victory. On February 29 our team will compete with FC Telavi in Erovnuli Liga 1st round match.
