Dinamo Tbilisi President Roman Pipia assessed the past season in an interview with the club's official website and talked about the ongoing renewal process at the club.
About the past season
First of all, I would like to congratulate FC Dinamo Batumi once again on the championship, this is the first time in the history of this club. Quite a tense season came out, though I personally would have rated it normally. Since we started rerewing the team in the middle of the season, I mean bringing in a new head coach and sporting director. For me personally, this was the main event of last season. In this regard, I think we had positive dynamics.
About the ongoing renewal process in the team
Today our team is run by a board where decisions are made as a result of deliberation. Responsibility for team composition and results is vested on the head coach and sports director. Kakha Tskhadadze and Aleksandre Rekhviashvili have full confidence from me. This is a sign of the processes that are going on in the team today. In fact, we add quite experienced players on a daily basis. This process, of course, will continue after New Year, and by January 10, we will have practically full staff. I hope that the confidence expressed by me by the sports director and head coach will be taken with full responsibility and all this will affect the results.
On the return of Andres Carrasco to the Dinamo Academy
The return of Andres Carrasco to the Dinamo academy is a very important event. A lot can be said about this specialist, but the most important thing is that he has made a great contribution to the establishment and success of our academy. He will start working from the new year. I hope that the pandemic in April 2022 will allow us to host the Vitali Daraselia tournament, because it is very important for us.
Address to Dinamo fans, veteran players and club representatives
I would like to address the whole Georgia, Dinamo fans, our veteran players, the whole team and the academy. I wish each of them a Happy New Year and good health. In today’s situation it is most important to take care of each other and get vaccinated, this is the only way to save a life.
I hope our team will show good results already in summer. We have to compete in Euro tournaments with dignity. As for the local championship, our goal is to win at least one trophy and this is the Georgian championship.
