Today Dinamo Tbilisi will hold the third friendly match on the camp in Turkey and will finish the first stage of the meeting. Our rival will be the champion of Bulgaria - PFC Ludogorets Razgrad. The match will start in Belek at 18.00 Tbilisi time and will be available on Dinamo YouTube channel.
Ludogorets is a club founded in 1945 that brought together five small clubs in Razgrad. Our rival plays home matches at Huvepharma Arena with the capacity of 10,500 spectators. Ludogorets club colors are green and white. In 1990, the club changed its name to FC Antibiotic, but in 2006, having never played in the major leagues, the club suspended to exist due to financial problems.
In 2010, the football club Razgrad 2000 became the legal successor of Ludogorets and was renamed. In 2011, the Eagles (nicknamed Ludogorets) won a trip to the Bulgarian Premier League and at the same time showed a historic result at the end of the season, winning the championship, the cup and the Super Cup. The same triumph Ludogorets offered to its fans in 2014.
In total, the Bulgarian club has won the national championship for ten times (2011/2012 - 2020/2021), twice the cup (2011/2012, 2013/2014) and five times (2012, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2021) the Bulgarian Super Cup. In the group stage of the Champions League, the team from Razgrad competed twice - in 2014/15 and 2016/17 seasons. In the Europa League group, after 2018/19, the Bulgarians appeared in the last year and played in the group with Braga, Tsrvena Zvezda and Midtjylland.
Slovenian football specialist Ante Šimundža has been working as Ludogorets's head coach since the beginning of this year. His team is traditionally leading the tournament table with 42 points accumulated from 18 matches in the current championship of Bulgaria.
Ludogorets has been in Turkey since January 12 and has already played several control matches. The Bulgarians played draw 1-1 with Wisla Krakow on January 18. On January 21, Ludogorets played 3-3 against Austrian Wolfsberger. On January 27, our opponent defeated Wisla Plock 2-1. Yesterday, Razgrad team met Dynamo Kyiv and lost the match 1-4. On February 8 our team will compete with Dynamo Kyiv and last year on the Turkish camp we lost 1-3 with Ludogorets. The goal was scored by Zoran Marusic.
