Dinamo Tbilisi will open 2022 football season on February 25 with Georgian derby to be held at Dinamo Arena, where our team will play against Torpedo Kutaisi. Before the upcoming season, the president of Dinamo Tbilisi Roman Pipia and the executive director Zaza Dolidze address the fans of Tbilisi club and other interested persons.
Roman Pipia: On February 25, our team will open the new football season. It is symbolic that we start the very important season for us with a match against the most principled opponent. I look forward to this match and the 2022 season in general. I would like to wish success to all Dinamo players, starting from the first team, ending with our academy, which is the main basement of our team. Personally, I am very happy that majority of footballers in the first team are from the academy.
I was pleased with the quality of the game shown on the camp and, more importantly, the attitude of the players, coaches and staff towards work. I would also like to wish a successful season to all the newcomers and legionnaires of our team. Playing in a club like Dinamo Tbilisi is a great honor and I am sure the new players will take such a responsibility.
As a result of the changes made in the club, we managed that every direction is headed and staffed with professionals. I wish each of them great success in the new season with Dinamo. It is very important for me that today the responsibilities in the club are properly distributed and we make decisions collectively. I am confident that with such an approach we will definitely succeed.
Our fans have rightly criticized us for the unfortunate results shown in the past seasons. Our main goal is to correct mistakes and return the fans back the joy that our club has given them over the years. I do not want to make specific promises for the next season, because I think that we should convey what we have to say with the right work and the result shown at the stadium.
Zaza Dolidze: I am optimistic about the new season, I think that the changes made in the club and the new form of management will bring us success in the near future. We will open the season with a principled confrontation and I think this is additional motivation for each Dinamo player. The support of the fans in such matches is of great importance, so I want to invite you all on February 25, to support our favorite team together from the stands of Dinamo Arena.
Lots of exciting news is planned in Dinamo in 2022, we are working hard and we really want this season to be successful. I am happy that we were able to attract experienced managers in all necessary directions in the team. This factor will definitely help us to achieve the set goals.
