Our rival
Football club Dinamo Batumi was established in 1923. In 1990 it was renamed as FC Batumi. In 1994 it returned former name again. The main colors of the club are white and blue. The team plays home matches in Batumi at Dinamo Batumi training ground and what’s the most important, construction of new stadium according to European standards is coming to an end. Dinamo Batumi played in Georgian Cup final in 1993, 1995 and 1996. In 1997 the club gained bronze medal and was defeated in the final match. In 1998 our rival took the second place in national championship, won Georgian Cup and Super Cup. The team played on Euro arena in 1995 for the first time (Cup Winners Cup). The match against Obilic Belgrad finished with the score 3:2 on aggregate in favor of Dinamo Batumi. After that it competed with Celtic Glasgow and was defeated with the score 2:7 on aggregate. Our rival played on Euro arena for three seasons after that. In 2008 the team moved to Pirveli Liga. In 2012 Dinamo Batumi returned to Umaghlesi liga, then left it again in the end of the season and returned after a year. Last summer FC Dinamo Batumi played on Europa League as vice-champions of Georgia. On the first stage our rival competed with AC Omonia Nicosia. The match in Zestafoni finished in favor of Batumi team 1:0, although the second leg was lost with the score 2:0. In 2016 Dinamo Batumi defeated our team in mini final and won bronze medals. It played on Europa League and lost against Jagiellonia with the score 0:5 on aggregate on the first stage. In the next season our rival left Umahjleso Liga. In 2018 it took the first place in Pirveli Liga and moved to Umaghlesi Liga again. In 2019 season our rival won bronze medals after 21 years and will play on Europa League. Our rival repeated the same result in 2020.
It defeated S.P. Tre Penne, the Batte Borisov and lost with Sivasspor on the third stage. In the end of the season Dinamo Batumi gained championship for the first time in its history.

The last match was held on June 29, 2022 in Batumi and it finished with the victory of the host team 4:1. Davit Skhirtladze scored. On May 3 the match that finished without goals 0:0 was attended by record number of spectators (25 000) for the last 30 years of national championship.
