Exactly 40 years ago in 1973, Dinamo won their first International tournament. After beating Athletic Madrid in semi-final (0:0 full time, 4:2 penalty shots) and Benfica in the final (3:1) one of the best teams of the time, Dinamo won the Columbus's Caravela Trophy. Before Dinamo Real Madrid, Athletic Madrid and San Paulo owned the trophy. The goals were scored by Gutsaev and Kipiani.

Dinamo reserve team gained victory in Gori

Dinamo reserve team played the away match in Gori against Dila reserve team at Reserve League second round and defeated the rival with two goal difference-3:1.

The first match under the flag of Georgia

20 years ago important match for Georgian football took place. Dinamo Tbilisi played on European tournament as the representative of sovereign state for the first time. Dinamo Tbilisi hosted Northern Irish Linfield FC and defeated it with the score 2:1. Shota Arveladze scored the first goal on the 7th minute of the match. On 56th minute Johnston equalized the score but in 10 minutes Gela Inalishvili scored another goal and recorded the final result of the match-2:1.
