A session of the Executive Committee was held at Georgian Football Federation. The new format of the Super Cup named after Slava Metreveli was approved at the meeting of the Executive Committee. In 2023, four teams will participate in the draw - the current champion, the winner of the Davit Kifiani Cup, and the second and third-placed teams in the 2022 season of Erovnuli Liga. According to the new format, in the semi-finals, Dinamo Tbilisi will face FC Dila, and FC Torpedo will face Dinamo Batumi. The winners of the semi-finals will face each other in the final, and the defeated teams will fight for the third place. The 2023 Super Cup will be held in the summer, within the framework of preparations for the European tournaments, before the matches of the qualifying stage.
