Today, Daraselia Cup started at Dinamo Academy for the fifth time in history. As you know, the traditional tournament was held for four times in 2016-2019, and then the Covid pandemic prevented it from being held. A press conference was held at Academy before the start of the Daraselia Cup. President of Dinamo Tbilisi - Roman Pipia, President of Coca Cola Bottlers Georgia - Temur Chkonia, Head of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs of Tbilisi City Hall - Irakli Gvilava and Director of Dinamo Academy - Levan Gvantseladze presented themselves to the journalists.
Roman Pipia: I am glad that today we are hosting the tournament named after the legendary Vitali Daraselia for the fifth time. Due to the pandemic, we couldn't hold the tournament for three years, although today we have the opportunity to return, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors. Especially - Temur Chkonia and Coca-Cola.
Temur Chkhonia: International tournaments of this level are very important, Dinamo Tbilisi puts a lot of effort into its organization and it is appreciated. Those players who turned the fans and all of Europe towards Georgia appeared at this tournament. I mean - Kvaratskhelia, Mamardashvili, Chakvetadze, Davitashvili and others.
Irakli Gvilava: The tournament named after Daraselia is a very important project and we have been actively cooperating with Dinamo since the first years. First of all, I would like to thank the organizers, because they are doing a very good job that helps the development of young players.
