Today, Erovnuli Liga 7th round match was held in Gori. The stadium named after Tengiz Burjanadze hosted the Georgian derby.
Both teams started the match actively and at a high pace. Dinamo soon gained territorial advantage and created several dangerous moments. On the 23rd minute of the meeting, Torpedo twice escaped a missed goal. First, Zoran Marušić went face to face with the goalkeeper and at the last second the defender grabbed the ball, and in the next attack Ousmane Camara's shot was blocked by Oto Goshadze. In ten minutes, Giorgi Kharaishvili crowned the attack of the Tbilisi team from the approach to the penalty area, but the ball narrowly missed the goal of the Kutaisi team. At the end of the half, Davit Kobouri's shot and the goalkeeper relieved this moment as well. The referee added 2 minutes to the first half, at the end of which Dinamo finally reflected its colossal advantage in a goal. Ousmane Camara's pass was crowned by Imran Oulad Omar with a strong and accurate shot and Dinamo won the half 1-0.
At the start of the second half, the teams exchanged heated moments. Dangerous shots by Zoran Mausic and Ousmane Camara were answered by strong but inaccurate shots by Sunday Felai and Lasha Shergelashvili. On 57th minute of the meeting, Imran could have advanced the capital city, his shot was blocked by Oto Goshadze. On 62nd minute, Tornike Kirkitadze should have shot better and the score would have increased. After that, Zoran Marušić can be said to have missed the goal moment. Instead, the people of Kutaisi used the created moment and Giuli Manjgaladze equalized the score from close range on the 78th minute. Dinamo soon managed to get promoted again. In three minutes, Giorgi Kharaishvili's pass was crowned by Wagner Gonsalvesh, who came on as a substitute, and scored his debut goal in Dinamo – 2:1. On 86th minute of the match, the debutant in the form of Dinamo, young Nikoloz Ugrekhelidze appeared, he replaced Imran. The referee added 5 minutes to the match, in the last fifth minute three scoring opportunities were created with Dinamo's goal, in two cases Davit Kereselidze saved Dinamo, and finally the team’s captain headed the ball from the empty goal and Dinamo won the derby 2-1.
Giorgi Thiabrishvili's team will hold the next match on April 12 in Batumi, against the local Dinamo.
