Dinamo vs Simurq-Before the match

On October 11 Dinamo Arena will host friendly match between Dinamo Tbilisi and Azerbaijani Simurq PIK. The match will start at 16:00.

Our rival

Football Club Simurq was established in 2005 in Zakatala. (The nickname of Simurq is Penix). The main colors of the club are yellow and black. The team plays home matches at Zakatala Olympic complex stadium that is for 4000 spectators. The team started to play in Azerbaijani first league. After the successful season it moved to premier league next year. The team showed the best result in 2008/2009 season. Our rival finished the season on the third place and got right to play on Europa League qualifying on which it was defeated by Jewish team Bnei Yehuda with the score 0:4 on aggregate. Simurq finished the last season on the seventh place. At the moment after 7 rounds our rival is on the 7th place with 9 points. There are 10 legionaries in the team.

Coach and Simurq

Georgian specialist Giorgi Chikhradze is the head coach of Simurq since March 2012. This summer one more Georgian specialist Zviad Jeladze joined the staff. Zviad Jeladze worked at Dinamo Academy before moving to Simurq.

Before Dinamo…

Simurq started the new season with two victories. It defeated Azala and Khazar Lenkoran with the score 2:0. After that it was defeated for three times by Neftchi 1:2, Kabala 1:2 and Karabakh 0:1. After that our rival defeated Sumgite -3:2 and lost with Baki-0:1.

These teams have competed with each other once. On October 14, 2012 friendly match was held at Dinamo Dighomi base between these teams. The match finished with the victory of our team-3:2. Xisco scored the penalty. Mikel Alvaro scored the second goal. Giorgi Seturidze recorded the final result of the match-3:0. Martsin and Kurbanov from Simurq scored two goals.
