Play-off matches of Vitali Daraselia 1st International Tournament were held at Mikheil Meskhi stadium. Dinamo hosted Trabzonspor in the first semi-final. Both teams had priority in the first half and both had chance to score. At first Tamaz Babunadze failed to score, and then Demetre Buliskiria saved his team. Our team gained priority in the second half. Dinamo played in high speed and besides Tamaz Babunadze’s nice goal, our team had chance to score for several times. Finally Dinamo won the match and will play in the final.
Locomotive competed with AZ Alkmaar in the second semi-final. Both teams played equally in the first half. Goalkeepers of both teams played well. Penalty kicks were appointed after the match and the main time finished without goals. AZ Alkmaar won penalties with the score 6:5. Locomotive footballers Rukhadze, Grdzelidze, Kurdadze, Kakabadze and Japaridze kicked exactly. As for Dutch team, Ens, W. van der, Fase, Haas de, Boadu and Lathouwers scored. Tomorrow final match will take place at 20:30 at Dinamo Arena. FC Dinamo Tbilisi will compete with AZ Alkmaar. The match for the third place will be held at acadey stadium at 17:30 between Locomotive and Trabzonspor.
The match at Dinamo academy between Lechia and Sheriff finished with draw 1:1 and penalty series were appointed. 10 minutes before finishing the match Lechia scored. Conrad scored. In 8 minutes Boico equalized the score. Lechia was better in penalties and won with the score 4:2.
The last match took place between Besiktas JK and Dinamo-2. Our team played better than its rival. Vladimer Kakashvili’s team scored 3 goals. Guldedava scored the first goal with penalty, Vatsadze and Kvaratskhelia followed him. Besiktas JK scored its only goal on the tournament in the second half. Mustafa Cay is the author of the goal. Besiktas JK and Sheriff will play for the seventh place at 15:30 at Dinamo training ground. Dinamo 2 and Lechia Gdansk will compete for fifth place at Dinamo academy stadium at the same time.
