Dinamo Tbilisi U12 team won silver medals at Ateitis Cup draw that ended in Vilnius.
The competition started on October 6 and 10 teams participated in it. In group B, our team played against Romanian Dacia, Latvian Daugavpils, Lithuanian Zalgiris and also home team Baltiosh. Juventus of Turin, Tallinn of Estonia, Klaipeda of Lithuania, Ventspils of Latvia and Riga competed in group A.
On the first match day, Dinamo beat Zalgiris of Kaunas 1-0 with a goal by Irakli Berianidze, and they drew 1-1 with Daugavpils. Demetre Bakuria scored a goal for Latvians. The next day, our team lost to Dacia with a minimum score of 0-1, and Dinamo beat Baltiosh with Nikoloz Turmanidze’s goal and got a ticket to the semi-finals of the tournament. In the semi-finals, Tbilisi beat Riga 1-0, and Nikoloz Chomakhidze showed himself. In the decisive match of the draw, our team met Klaipeda. In the final, Dinamo advanced with Nikoloz Chomakhidze's goal, and it should be noted that throughout the match, the blue-whites had a big advantage, although they did not manage to score more goals, and Klaipeda restored the balance with a free kick in the last minutes, moved the match to a penalty shootout and finally won. Thus, Dinamo won silver medals at the tournament.
