Our rival
FC Telavi was founded on June 19, 2016. The team plays home matches at legendary Givi Chokheli stadium, although at this stage the stadium is under reconstruction and the match against Dinamo will be held at Kavkasioni Arena. FC Telavi started from Regional League and moved to the Third League. In 2017 they finished on the third place and defeated FC Guria in play-off (2-1, 1-1). In 2018 FC Telavi continued progress and although couldn’t take the leading positions in Liga-2, but played in Georgian Cup semi-final. In the semi-final our rival lost with FC Torpedo Kutaisi with minimal score 0:1. In 2019 FC Telavi took the third place in Liga-2 and defeated FC Rustavi in play-off (1-0, 2-1). Thus, FC Telavi moved to Umaghlesi Liga and after 2006/2007 season will play there for the first time. FC Telavi finished 2020 season on the sixth place.
