Aleksandre Chivadze, the legendary captain of Dinamo Tbilisi, has turned 67 years old on April 8. According to the decision of the Tbilisi club, the first tier of the south stand of Dinamo Arena was named after Aleksandre Chivadze. This space includes the first, second, third, seventeenth and eighteenth sectors of the arena.
To mark the fact, the entrance of the third sector of Dinamo Arena was painted with the image of Aleksandre Chivadze, the wall painting was done by Dinamo Tbilisi fans. In addition, the signs on the perimeter of the first tier of the South Stand have been completely changed, and with the help of the QR code on them, interested people will be able to get detailed information about the legendary captain.
During the visit of Aleksandre Chivadze at Dinamo Arena, Aleksandre Rekhviashvili, Sports Director of Dinamo Tbilisi and Giorgi Papava, the captain of the team, symbolically handed over a three-numbered jersey and captain’s armband to the legendary captain of our club.
The name of the legendary football player was given to the stand of the stadium for the first time in Georgia. FC Dinamo Tbilisi will continue this tradition in the future to immortalize the names of our legendary players.
