Today Dinamo’s legend Vitali Daraselia would turn 64 years old. He started to play in Dinamo Tbilisi at the age of 17 and soon established himself in the lineup of the best club of Georgia. Dasarelia became the unchangable player of Soviet national team and Dinamo Tbilisi. He played in Dinamo in 1975-1982 and scored 40 goals in 273 matches. He played a big role in development of Georgian football. His big achievement was the goal scored against Carl Zeiss in the final match of Cup Winners’ Cup. In 1978 he became champion of Soviet Union, in 1977 he took the second place and was the thrice prizeman in 1976 summer and spring and in 1981. Vitali Daraselia is the owner of Crystal Cup in 1976 and 1979. In 1981 he won Cup Winners’ Cup. He was named among the best 33 players for 5 times. Vitali Daraselia died on December 13, 1982 at the age of 25.
Dinamo Tbilisi Football Academy is named after the legendary footballer Vitali Daraselia.
