FC Dinamo Tbilisi played the first quarter final match on UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup against West Ham United and defeated it with the score 4:1. Aleksandre Chivadze, Vladimer Gutsaev, Ramaz Shengelia (2) scored. After this match Dinamo has almost moved to semi-final.
Head coach of West Ham United John Lyall told journalists after the match: I don’t like loss, but if I have to loose, I would prefer to losse with such rival. I have seen many matches on the continent, but I can say that Tbilisi team is the best among them. They have everything that is important in football-initiative and taste, technic and exact passes. In the second leg we have to prove that we learnt something today. They showed level, that is our goal.
